The Manifold group employs energetically-worked surfaces and expressive color groups within open, bounded or stacked lattice frameworks. In process, the colors are applied with brushes, spray guns, palette knives or by hand and worked intuitively to develop the surface according to the evolving character of the painting. Individual color "tiles" are repeatedly worked until each one asserts a unique visual character contributing to my discovery of the painting's chromatic and pictorial unity.
